Cool As A...

“We love this technique to make cucumber syrup. We extract the liquid from the cucumbers without cooking or adding heat. Fresh cucumber and gin botanicals pair beautifully. We add a pinch of salt for the same reason you would add salt to a cucumber salad. We often approach cocktails as if we were "cooking" or preparing very delicious food.”

TIME: 2 MIN + 1 DAY INFUSION

Recipe:

INSTRUCTIONS:

Combine all ingredients in a shaker filled with ice, and shake hard. Strain into a chilled coupe glass. Garnish with a thin cucumber slice.

Cucumber Simple Syrup:

  • 1 cup white sugar

  • 2 cups thinly sliced cucumbers

Combine cucumbers and sugar in a gallon-sized zippered bag. Seal and refrigerate until sugar has dissolved. Strain liquid. Reserve cucumber slices for garnish.
