Chilled Garlic Vodka

“Let’s infuse some vodka with garlic! Vodka and garlic are meant to be together, I suppose. Alcohol is good at extracting flavor from things. Vodka is meant to be consumed neat and cold with pickled things, smoked meats and salty treats. This would also be great in a Bloody Mary.”

INSTRUCTIONS:

You may need to make room in the bottle before adding things to it. Drink some. Take 3 to 5 cloves of garlic and smash them. In a pan, toast the spices over low heat until aromatic. Add them to your (partially used) bottle of Syvä Vodka and let it rest for a while in the refrigerator (but not longer than a week). Every time you open the refrigerator, shake that bottle a bit. Strain everything and put it back in the bottle, throw it in the freezer. Serve ice cold in shot glasses with your favorite Nordic food!
