Fulton's Lonely Blonde IPA is a light and biscuity IPA, with enough IBU to stand up to an aged rum (here, Green Lantern bar chef Tim Schaaf uses Ron Zacapa 23-year rum) but a restrained flavor that plays well with others.

I dare say this beer cocktail drinks more like a straight cocktail, with rich, deep, and dank flavors.

Recipe:

* To make Honey Simple Syrup: dissolve an equal part of honey in an equal part of hot water.  Allow to cool and use immediately or store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

Instructions:

Shake all ingredients, except beer, over ice. Strain into a chilled coupe glass and top with Fulton Lonely Blonde beer.

Green Lantern St. Paul is a craft cocktail bar serving beer, wine, and small bites, underneath Public Kitchen + Bar.  It's modeled after the Green Lantern Saloon which, in the late 1920’s, was "where the best stickup men in America came to commiserate over drinks and share stories of life on the run."
