Party For A Purpose!

  • Constantine 1115 2nd Ave S Minneapolis, MN (map)

Join me at Constantine — located downstairs from Monello, in the Ivy Hotel — on Saturday March 12th to raise money to help end youth homelessness!

I'll be behind the bar from 7:30 until 9pm mixing and serving signature cocktails designed by the one-and-only Jesse Held and his crew, and 100% of what I sell will go to support YouthLinkMN, an organization dedicated to helping homeless youth.

DJ Shah Hilali will be there to spin tunes in the cozy confines of one of the Twin Cities best and most stylish bars.

Your $20 donation at the door gets you in (use the password 'YOUTH'!), and all of that money... along with any tips I receive... will go toward the cause.

There will also be a raffle, featuring gift cards to RF Moeller Jeweler, Seven restaurant, an authentic NFL football autographed by the Vikings' Harrison Smith, and more.

Cocktail attire is encouraged; see you there!

More about YouthLink

Youth become homeless for a variety of reasons. For some young people, they have lived their entire lives in and out of shelter with parent(s)/guardian(s). For others, they are kicked out of the home because of disagreements surrounding behavior, sexual orientation/identity, space in the home, a step-parent, etc. For others, it’s an extreme or unexpected life circumstance—job loss, unable to pay different bills, medical emergency, fire, etc. For others, mental health/wellness can lead to homelessness.

The young people YouthLink works with are between the ages of 16-24. While at YouthLink, youth can access the Youth Opportunity Center—a collaboration of 30 plus organizations that provide a variety of services including mental health/wellness counselors, legal assistance, case management, artistic outlets, education assistance, county benefits, etc. YouthLink serves three meals a day, and also has a food shelf, clothing closet, computer lab, phone charging tower, washers/dryers, and bathrooms (with showers) available to all youth accessing the drop-in. Overall the drop-in provides a safe (and warm) space for youth to work on their goals, rest, and get their basic needs met.

YouthLink also has three site-based housing locations. These supportive housing sites provide safe, stable housing for youth with case management and on-going support. YouthLink will be building a NEW housing site (breaking ground this year) to provide supportive housing for young people!
